the lemon jump,is a magnificent waterfall that measures approximately 50 meters high, ending in a natural pool, this waterfall is located in a community called El Limón in Samana, which is in the northeast of the Dominican Republic.
All the way to the waterfall El Limon is surrounded by a totally tropical forest, it can be reached in different ways, by donkey or horse it would be an hour's walk, another option is walking which would be about two hours.
The Lemon Jump is composed of three outlets which come together and the water descends from the waterfall through a huge rocky and greenish wall, this color is a product of the thousands of ferns and the high humidity in that area. This magnificent waterfall ends in a beautiful natural pool of fresh and crystal clear water, where you can enjoy a relaxing bath.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- The path becomes very slippery in part and in other parts a little rough, so it is advisable to wear shoes suitable for this type of adventure, also the final part of the path for the safety of visitors is composed of wooden steps with handrail that take you directly to the jump or Lemon waterfall.
- On the trail or road to the waterfall is not allowed to be transported in vehicles such as cars, motorcycles or other motor vehicles, nor bicycles, these is in order to avoid pollution, keeping the place with most of its natural attributes almost intact.
